Before real estate, I built my career in high-performance rugby, representing Wellington, the Hurricanes, and the Maori All Blacks. I then spent over a decade in Italy playing and coaching rugby. Immersing myself in a new culture, learning a new language, and building a life and family abroad expanded my perspective and strengthened my leadership. It reinforced adaptability, accountability, and the ability to connect with people from all walks of life.

I love the Hutt Valley. I've been here for over 25 years; my wife and I raised our family here and we like the fact that we are close to Wellington City and still have a great lifestyle with so much at our doorstep. I'm very much into giving back to the community - I served on the Board of Hutt Central School for seven years as the Chairman. I was also a team member when we organised the schools 150th reunion. I'm a member of the Eastern Hutt Rotary Club raising money as well as giving my time for community organisations & events.
