Starting in real estate 17 years ago and having reached the Top 10 in Queensland and the Top 20 in Australia, motivated Helen to obtain her full Real Estate Agent’s (Manager’s) License in 2007. That year also saw the fulfillment of Helen’s goal to operate her own property development company, successfully completing several projects for herself and her clients.
After a move to Tasmania in 2008, Helen has raised her family in the area and is heavily involved in the community, understanding how important a thorough local knowledge and network is to providing clients with the service they expect, and deserve.
Helen opened the doors of First National Real Estate Hobart & Kingston with the goal of creating an office culture that is dedicated to putting the needs of the client first – at all times! After a thriving career across two decades in the fast-paced Media and Entertainment industries in both Sydney and Melbourne, Nana decided to follow her dream of a life in Tasmania.
A proud and dedicated mother of two, the goal was to create a genuine lifestyle and raise her children in an environment that allowed them to be connected to both the land and community.
Always motivated to be growing and achieving, in 2011 Nana purchased a waterfront restaurant in the Kingborough area. Managing all aspects of the venture from front of house to staff management, business administration and a full rebranding, she built a strong, local clientele creating a well-known and prosperous business.
Having doubled revenue within the first two years and then maintaining a steady growth the business was sold in 2016.
Nana then moved to boutique accommodation management at one of Hobart’s premiere tourist destinations.
Nana has always had a passion for real estate having bought, sold, renovated and built more than a dozen properties.
Highly community minded, Nana has volunteered for Save the Children as a Community Parent for over two years.
She strongly believes in the unique beauty and lifestyle that Tasmania has to offer to both families and business people alike.
A successful professional with a wealth of transferable skills and a strong commitment to service and ongoing professional advancement, Nana is excited to be joining the First National Hobart & Kingston team with its focus of putting the client first.
Nana has now lived in the Kingborough area for over ten years.
Previously a popular stop on the open garden trail, this picturesque property is currently nurtured and loved by a retired nursery owner. Hence, as soon as you start down the well-maintained driveway you will appreciate the abundance of colour, the variety of the plantings and the thoughtful artistry that has gone into creating this wonderful, now easy-care, very special place to be.
Set on approximately 6 acres of mostly level land, with the only steep section leading down to a winter creek, which is one of the tributaries of the Margate Rivulet. Amidst a bush and rural landscape, yet only minutes from shops, schools and services, this lovely home and surrounding gardens provide a peaceful escape from the day to day. Internally the home is light and bright. High ceilings, skylights and a neutral palette create a feeling of contemporary living and slate floors, the use of timber, and garden views through expansive windows and sliding doors, enhance the calm and relaxed atmosphere. Originally 3 bedrooms, this spacious 154m2 home now has very generous proportions throughout its easily accessed single level living. Both bedrooms are at opposite ends of the home providing privacy for the occupants and the master offers an ensuite and walk in robe.
Outside there is an abundance of water with a large rainwater tank, a bore and two very full dams. A fenced veggie garden keeps the produce safe and 75% of the land has wallaby proof fencing to conserve the beauty within.
Only minutes from the waterside township of Margate which provides shops, primary schools, services, public transport, the Dru Point Bicentennial Park and a boat ramp so you can explore this stunning region by water.
